The eureleA – European Award for Technology Supported Learning – is a Competition set out across Europe, in which prominent examples of excellent teaching and learning with digital media are awarded. Submissions may be uploaded on http://www.eurelea.org starting from September 1st 2010 until October 31st 2010.
On September 1st 2010 the seventh competition has started. Learning projects can be submitted by industry, public administration, foundations and associations as well as universities and schools, which show a specific quality in one or more of the following dimensions: project impact, project management, media didactics and technical implementation. The submitter must contribute to covering the organizational cost with € 200 and will get in return an evaluation report on the quality of their submission on the basis of the above explained dimensions.
A further submission category addresses authors of media reports, which are dedicated especially to public discussions of learning with digital media. This can be a journalistic publications as well as studies, manuals, blogs and portals. The evaluation is carried out in the dimensions of the scope (horizontal and vertical), media didactics and the depth of the knowledge and research of the submitted project.
To submit a project, only an online registration is needed and an upload of freely formulated documents, in which the project’s relation to the competition criteria is explained, is needed in the first phase. The evaluation of this documentation is carried out by an expert jury.
The LEARNTEC (http://www.learntec.de) supports the eureleA as a partner in the preparation, implementation and enforcement of the award ceremony on site in early February 2011. The ceremony of the eureleA 2011 will take place on February 1st during the exhibition of LEARNTEC 2011 in Karlsruhe.
The organization of the eureleA is done by the ICe – Institute for Computers in Education at the Hochschule Karlsruhe – Technik und Wirtschaft.
