Instructional Designer is responsible for collaborating with WKCTC staff, project team leaders, faculty and online instructors to plan, design, and develop highly interactive online learning content. The incumbent will utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools to develop interactive and engaging online content that integrates best practice instructional design.

Duties:
- Collaborates with subject-matter experts to review, design and develop highly interactive courses/modules using multimedia technology and authoring tools.
- Develops and uses course management system functionality to produce interactive, engaging content, plus hands-on exercises and assignment content.
- Plans and facilitates studio and field-based video production , including planning, hi-def shooting, editing, sound mixing, and graphic effects.
- Performs video post-production tasks including reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final edition using Adobe Premier.
- Uses authoring tools including those for producing video, text, graphics, animation, and sound.
- Makes videos available in a variety of formats and maintains digital library of assets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Instructional Design, Multimedia, Graphic Design or closely related field.
- Two years of relevant and demonstrated work experience.
- Demonstrated record of successful video production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere.
- Experience with audio editing and podcast production.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects of a highly technical nature.
- Demonstrated ability to remain flexible and adapt quickly to change.
- Experience with BlackBoard and video projects in higher education, preferred.
